Project Details

A new building of 45,000m2 was planned for the Tamanrasset Hospital located in the South of Algeria. The hospital offers 300 beds, 9 operating rooms, an intensive care unit, a surgical ward, as well as departments for pediatrics, radiology (including MRT), gynecology, endoscopy, dialysis, psychiatry, dentistry, pathology, laboratories, large scale kitchen and food delivery, a cafeteria and an office building.

The property includes four buildings, three houses for inpatient and outpatient care, an office building and three buildings which house the kitchen, the laundry and a central control room for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, electro-technics, and medical gas supply. Technical installations have to meet requirements of the surrounding arid climate and should not be prone to permanent service and maintenance, thereby proving high standards of reliability. Every room is connected to the ventilation system or it is cooled by appliances using circulating air. Using grit separators in upstream equipment is essential for all ventilation appliances in order to clean the incoming air from grit.
